Parenting Coordination

For parties who already have a parenting plan or other parenting arrangements recorded in a court order or in a written agreement, a parenting coordinator may be useful to help implement those arrangements.

Parties who wish to try parenting coordination must sign a Parenting Coordination Agreement. Once the terms of the Agreement are set, either party can contact the parenting coordinator when a disagreement or question comes up regarding the parenting arrangements. The parenting coordinator will first attempt to mediate a resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved through mediation, the parenting coordinator can make a determination in writing. Determinations are binding and can be enforced like a court order.
