Shahnaz B. Jamal, Founder
Shahnaz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from the University of British Columbia in 1998 and her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002 from the University of Calgary. After articling with a national law firm, she was called to the bar in Alberta in 2003 and in British Columbia in 2004.
Shahnaz was an associate with a boutique family law firm from March 2005 to September 2008 in the Fraser Valley and now runs her own practice. She specializes in the areas of Family Law and is a certified arbitrator, mediator, and parenting co-ordinator.
Shahnaz was born and raised in North Vancouver and now resides in the Coal Harbour area of downtown Vancouver.

Heather received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia in 2006 and her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 2009.
Heather articled with a large Vancouver law firm and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2010. Prior to joining Jamal Law Group, Heather was an associate with a boutique civil litigation firm in Vancouver. Heather joined Jamal Law Group in 2013 and specializes in the areas of family law and civil litigation.
Heather has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, has experience before administrative boards and tribunals, and has acted for clients in negotiations and mediations.

Heather Cathcart, CPA, CMA, Director of Administration
Involved in the business strategy and general oversight of the firm, Heather brings over 20 years of experience in various industries including legal, real estate and digital entertainment.
Heather received her CMA from the Society of Management Accountants of British Columbia in 1991 after graduating from the Financial Management program at BCIT in 1987.

Stephanie Goldminc, Designated Paralegal
Stephanie received her Paralegal accreditation in 2003 and has over 17 years experience working in the areas of family law, personal injury, corporate records, and small claims matters, as well as court, mediation, and arbitration experience.
Stephanie is a Designated Paralegal who works closely with Shahnaz Jamal, and her designation allows Jamal Law Group to provide affordable legal services for our clients. Stephanie strives to help our client’s find solutions amidst stress, chaos, and change, and her practical approach and keen knowledge of the law and Rules of Court assists our client’s to discern issues and focus on resolutions.
Stephanie has been on faculty for many courses offered by the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC in the area of Family Law. Her materials for the courses on the new Supreme Court Family Rules in 2010 and the new Family Law Act in 2013 are used by many legal support staff throughout the province.
