Mediation

Mediation is a form of dispute resolution in which the parties work together with a neutral mediator to settle their disputes collaboratively and confidentially. Mediators do not have any decision making power. Any settlement must be acceptable to all parties. Mediation can be more cost effective than litigation.

Mediation can be directed by the court, mandated via the Notice to Mediate (Family) Regulation, or you and your spouse can agree to attend mediation.
