Kanika holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the University School of Law, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Jagan Nath University in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
She began her practice in New Delhi under the mentorship of a leading Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) advocate. During this time, she represented a broad spectrum of clients, including multinational corporations, pharmaceutical companies, consumer goods brands, real estate developers, and publishing houses. Her practice included complex litigation and prosecution in trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, and various tribunals. In 2014, Kanika was part of the legal team representing her firm at the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Conference in Hong Kong, one of the largest global gatherings for IP professionals.
Following her successful practice in intellectual property law, Kanika broadened her legal expertise to include family law, consumer protection, criminal law, constitutional matters, and general civil litigation. After relocating to Canada, she completed her articles with a premier family and estate litigation law firm in downtown Vancouver, BC. She now focuses her practice primarily on family law and wills and estates.
Kanika is passionate about family law because she believes that strong families are the foundation of a stable and healthy society. With her cross-jurisdictional experience and a deep understanding of both Indian and Canadian legal systems, she is uniquely equipped to assist clients from diverse backgrounds, including the South Asian community, in navigating complex family matters such as divorce, separation, parenting arrangements, and property division.
Kanika is known for her compassionate and pragmatic approach. She encourages clients to pursue amicable resolutions wherever possible, minimizing conflict and reducing financial and emotional stress.

Personal Interests: Apart from law, Kanika loves dancing, reading, writing poetry, traveling, and learning new languages and cultures. She considers herself a lifelong learner who is always eager to discover something new every day to improve upon who she was yesterday. She is a foodie who enjoys cooking and trying new recipes and cuisines. Kanika delights in hosting friends at her home and ensures that anyone visiting her never leaves hungry.
