Harleen recently graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law. During her time at law school, Harleen worked at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, as a member of the Low-Income Individuals and the Law Clinical, to help deliver legal services to marginalized individuals and to promote access to justice. Harleen also volunteered with the Student Legal Services Criminal Project to provide legal information to the low-income community and with the Women’s Law Forum to raise awareness for social issues.  In her last year of law school, she was a Student Associate for LexisNexis and hosted legal research workshops for her fellow students.

Prior to law school, Harleen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from the University of British Columbia, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Law and Society. During her undergraduate, Harleen continued her commitment to community involvement by volunteering with a Punjabi Student Association to plan and host multiple successful fundraising events for humanitarian causes.

Harleen is excited to continue her passion for helping her community through her legal work at JLG.
